Import Collection

By choosing NCB as the collecting bank, import companies will receive the service chain—notification, reconciliation of import collections, payment transactions, etc.—quickly, conveniently, and accurately.

Target customers

Import companies with the need to choose a collecting bank to receive import documents from abroad and make payments to foreign partners as instructed.

Features

  • Import collection is a method where the importer authorizes the bank to receive, verify, notify, and make payments based on the documents sent by the exporter's bank.
  • NCB will execute payment orders as instructed by the foreign bank for the export companies and make payments at the request of the exporter.

Benefits

  • Fast payment procedures with reasonable costs; same-day notification by NCB upon receiving document sets from foreign banks. The document set will be delivered to the customers after their payment (for immediate payment D/P) or upon their acceptance of payment (for deferred payment D/A).
  • Cost-effective, safe, and flexible international payment method for companies.

Documents

  • NCB Payment Request letter under the import collection method presented to NCB.
  • Import goods documents.
  • Document against Acceptance (D/A): the customer commits to pay in writing or signs to accept payment of the payment draft and receives all collection documents.
  • Document against Payment (D/P): the customer immediately pays the full value of the collection amount and receives all collection documents.
