WITH THE NCB IZIMOBILE APP, NCB HAS BEEFED UP CUSTOMER SAFETY AND SECURITY
In the digital era, safeguarding online banking accounts from cybersecurity threats is paramount. To maximize transaction security for customers, National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) has officially implemented the BShield application security solution integrated with iziMobile, thereby enhancing the security features of the NCB iziMobile digital banking application for individual customers.
Commencing December 19, 2024, following the update of the enhanced NCB iziMobile version, customers' NCB iziMobile application will undergo an automatic upgrade, incorporating features that guarantee only secure mobile devices can execute transactions within the application, thereby fortifying the protection of NCB customers' accounts and assets against the threats posed by malicious applications and digital fraud.
BShield is an all-encompassing application protection solution created by Verichains, recognized as one of the premier solutions in "Information Security and Safety" at the Sao Khue 2024 awards ceremony due to its exceptional ability to safeguard information for enterprises and end users.
The enhanced security solution allows NCB iziMobile to autonomously detect and notify consumers of potential hazards on their devices, encompassing harmful software and cyber attack vulnerabilities. Concurrently, revoke login access until the customer's phone is returned to an adequately secure state for transaction activities. The NCB iziMobile application will enable the verification and alerting of consumers to implement risk mitigation measures on their mobile devices, including:
* Remove malicious applications.
* Revoke access rights for applications of unknown origin.
* Disable potentially risky features such as root/jailbreak, which interfere with the device's operating system.
Consequently, it offers optimal protection for clients against fraudulent methods employed by criminals to access bank accounts and misappropriate assets, including: Accessibility (perpetrators can remotely manipulate clients' devices to execute fraudulent activities); Screen Mirroring (enabling criminals to link clients' screens to third parties, thereby expropriating sensitive information); Overlaying (criminals can manipulate the launch of banking applications while clients' screens exhibit data from malicious applications, consequently appropriating the accounts of customers and assets).
